New Seabury

New Seabury is a collection of villages on the Nantucket Sound in the south part of Mashpee.  55 is located in the Bright Coves village.  There's a swanky country club with the requisite golf (two courses), tennis, pools, private beach club and bar/restaurant.  Beach access within New Seabury is at what is called the Spit, which is a fragile, natural barrier peninsual that protects Popponesset Bay from Nantucket Sound.  Popponesset Beach, along Shore drive is private, meaning you must be a guest of a resident.   Popponesset Marketplace, or Poppy Marketplace, is a popular destination within New Seabury, consisting of a handful of shops, a coffee spot, ice cream, pizza, a small general store and the Raw Bar and Marketplace Cafe.
