Part of what we call Lower Cape, Brewster is 45 minutes away on a good day, on the Cape Cod Bay (north) side of Route 6. Getting there can be a good ride, though, as there's plenty to see and do on Route 6A (The King's Highway), with the route you take depending on how much of that you see. The Cape Code Rail Trail runs through Brewster which, along with Nickerson State Park, can make Brewster a good active day trip.
